A TRUE ROCOCO CONTEMPORARY JEWEL
FROM CONCEPT TO REALITY
In a home perched above the ocean and shaped by classical ideals, a stair railing becomes the centerpiece of a grand interior. A sculptural homage to the Rococo tradition, reimagined for contemporary living.
This custom stair railing, designed for a private Residence, was the result of a rich collaboration between Maestro Louis Beltran, architect Raphael Portuondo, and interior designer Vincenzo Avanzato. Inspired by the ornamental language of the Italian Renaissance and the French decorative arts, the piece fuses historical references with technical refinement.
The concept began with a study of stylized floral motifs, namely the Fleur de Lis, long associated with classical French nobility. These elements were reinterpreted into a series of forged wrought iron scrolls, polished bronze leaves, and hand-cast detailing that feels both elaborate and composed.

THE MAKING OF A MASTERPIECE
Each section of the railing was drawn by hand, sculpted in full scale, and crafted using traditional blacksmithing, repoussé,modeling, and casting techniques at our atelier. The resulting composition blends bronze pistils, cocoon forms, and delicately stylized lilies, creating a rhythmic movement along the stair’s aluminum frame.

THE RESULT
This extraordinary piece was awarded the NOMMA Top Job Award for Best Railing, a distinction that speaks to the level of artistry, technical complexity, and precision involved in its creation. More than an architectural element, the railing is a sculpture in motion. It anchors the home in history while bringing a quiet sense of grandeur to daily life.
